HeimVision HM241 Wireless Security Camera System
Updated: Dec 26, 2019
To say the HM241 is just a security camera does not quite describe the product. Complete with four cameras, an eight channel NVR (network video recorder) box, a 3.3 foot network cable, a wired mouse, and the *always important but never read* user manual, the HM241 security system will provide for ample surveillance for most properties without the additional purchase of more cameras. The plug and play programming also made installing these a breeze. These cameras are designed to be durable, and (my favorite feature) can be daisy-chained across your property with the use of their antennas (the antennas acting as a repeater of your Wi-Fi signal).
These cameras are wireless in the sense that they are designed to run off your Wi-Fi and do not need a wired connection to the NVR box. However, if you want to reduce latency and have a direct connection, you can do so by connecting them with an Ethernet cable to your router. These cameras come with a remote viewing capability through the PixPlus app. I found the app to have an abundance of features, though the most-relevant are likely the motion-activated push alerts (which can be scheduled within intervals if you live on a fairly busy street) and the ability to initiate and stop a recording. You can also schedule recording times.
All in all, I was impressed with quality of all the cameras and feel confident in their ability to surveil my home. HeimVision definitely puts care into their products, and that was very evident to their overall quality and value.
